Why we exist

Most people don't shop loans. They walk into the nearest bank, accept whatever rate the RM quotes, and end up paying lakhs more over the life of the loan. The alternative — calling 5 banks themselves — is exhausting, and the answers they get differ wildly because each bank's underwriting logic is different.

SMARTAX exists to solve that. We do the shopping. We compare 15+ banks for you in one call. We chase the bank end-to-end. You get the best rate, the fastest sanction, the lowest charges — at zero cost to you, because we are paid by the bank.

About the founder

Manisha Karanjwane is the founder of SMARTAX Loan Services. Her background is the differentiator: years of running a manufacturing business in Pune means she reads a balance sheet the way an underwriter does, and understands how MSMEs, traders, and self-employed professionals actually file their finances. That bridges the gap between how borrowers present themselves and how banks evaluate them.

What we promise — in writing

1. Zero fees from you. Per RBI/DSA Code of Conduct, our entire income is bank commission. You pay only the bank's standard processing fee — the same whether you go through us or direct.
2. Honest eligibility upfront. If we don't think a file will get sanctioned, we'll tell you on day one — not after you've spent two weeks gathering documents.
3. Multi-lender comparison. Every enquiry gets a written 3-lender comparison: rate, processing fee, prepayment terms, max tenure.
4. End-to-end ownership. Once you sign on, we chase the bank. You don't sit on hold with RMs.
5. Local accountability. We're not a call centre. Our office is in Khadakwasla. If something goes wrong, you know exactly who to call — and where to find us.

How we're empanelled

SMARTAX is a Direct Selling Agent (DSA) empanelled with leading aggregators and direct banks/NBFCs. Aggregator codes give us access to 30+ lenders for personal, business, and home loans, while direct empanelments with major banks allow us to negotiate tighter rates on bigger files.

Code of Conduct

• We do not charge any fee from borrowers. Period.
• We do not push loans you don't need. If your current rate is already competitive, we'll say so.
• We protect your data. CIBIL pulls happen only with your explicit consent. Documents stay encrypted; physical copies destroyed after disbursement.
• We do not engage in misrepresentation to lenders. Every file is presented truthfully.
• We disclose commission-share arrangements (e.g., with CA partners or builder referrals) on request.
